Axolotl Food

Axolotls are carnivores, and they love to eat. There is a variety of food you can feed your axolotl, but they especially love nightcrawlers and salmon pellets. When they’re younger, it’s important to keep the axolotl food in smaller pieces, just like for human babies! As they get older, they will consume more and can handle larger pieces. They will eventually be able to eat a full-size european nightcrawler and salmon pellets (occassionaly). In addition to european nightcrawlers and salmon pellets, we also sell blackworm storage bins and worm farms so you can cultivate your own axolotl food at home.
